Can we go on tour yet!!??? DMC Battle Season 2011!!
So its nearly that time of year again for me and the DMC touring team. 5 UK Regional heats this year and we start next weekend. The first heat is in the Midlands, Leicester on Saturday 21st May. I’m so happy to have Inja on tour with us again this year, he really has a fantastic stage presence and brings a lot to our DMC stage. Inja will be performing tracks at every heat from his NEW album ‘Inja:Maker’, maybe I will put up a sneak preview on DMC TV of Inja’ new music. LOVING his remix of club banger ‘Hat Low’ featuring Skinnyman and Fallacy. The remix is Captain Crunch edit featuring Messiah. Check the video out below!

So that is the showcasing side of the tour. The actual competition has changed this year for the first time in the 27 year history. DMC now allow Serato and DVS into the traditional 6 minutes competition. DMC are very happy we have Rane and Serato as the official sponsors of the DMC UK and World Championships.
The DJs from each of the 5 UK Heats win a Serato SL3 (Retails at £499) and Sennheiser headphones. Where are the UK DJS? I know they are entering the DMC Online Championship, but the American DJs are entering both! The live and the Online. The UK DJs should too! TWO chances to the titles! TWO chances to get to the World Final, and TWO chances to win prizes! COME ON UK DJS... Step up!
THE DMC USA Final is shaping up very nicely I must say!. Congratulations and support to Christie Z as always on putting on a great US Battle Season. USA are set to have a fierce Final! (Saturday August 6th @ Santos Party House)

So today is my uncle and the Founder of DMC – Tony Princes birthday! Happy Birthday Tony!
Most of you will know Tony from announcing the DMC winners on stage, from the Royal Albert Hall to Wembley to Brixton Academy, and some of you may well remember Tony from the Radio Luxembourg and Radio Caroline days! Happy 40th Tonnnnnnnnne!

The DMC World DJ Championships is the longest running DJ competition in the world, and the most sought after title of the DJ world.
The search for the UK’s best DJ begins in May 2011! Rane and Serato present the DMC UK DJ Championships 2011. The UK tour will showcase the DMC World Champion – DJ Ligone from France, he will be showcasing and judging at all regional's. DMC’s host INJA will also be performing debut cuts from his long awaited solo album ‘Inja:Maker’. DMC World Champion 89 – Cutmaster Swift will also be spinning. The DMC UK regional's hit Leicester, Blackpool, London, Bournemouth and Plymouth.
The DMC UK Final is Thursday 14th July @ London’s Scala. The winner from the UK Final will go through to the DMC World Final which will be held on 6th and 7th October @ Indig02, 02 Arena.

History of DMC / Royal Wedding Weekend!
Hello DMC followers of the world!
Tonights blog post takes a 'history' theme. Its another bank holiday here in the UK. Friday 29th April is an official holiday in the UK for The Royal Wedding. Its Royal Wedding crazy here. I am personally very excited! Anyway.. enough small talk!
As promised when we re-launched the DMC World Championships website last week, I said we will be release a series of 3 videos. The History of the DMC competition. This weeks release is 'The History of the DMC World Team Championship'.
I love the World Team Championships. We have seen the most amazing performances from the worlds most creative and musical djs/turntablists.
The DMC World Team Championships started in 1999. World Team Champions - Scratch Perverts (99) / Craze & A-Trak (2000) / Perverted Allies (2001) / Birdy Nam Nam (2002) / C2C (2003/2004/2005/2006) / Kireek (2007/2008/2009/2010). C2C and Kireek are level with 4 x World titles in a row... Who will be the 2011 DMC World Team Champions? Will Kireek defend? Will C2C come back? Will there be a NEW Team to take the title? We will have to wait and see! Roll on October 6th and 7th!

Easter weekend.
