The UK Heats kicked off last weekend in Leicester and it was a World Champ fest!
We have our reigning DMC World Champion - DJ LIGONE on tour with us this year and Leicester loved him! Cutmaster Swift and DJ Switch all in the building, showing their skills off!

The DMC UK Tour kicks off!

Rane and Serato present 'The DMC UK DJ Championships' What a great start to the UK Championships!! We had a great crew to work with in Leicester. Thank you Filthy Beats and thank you Superfly. Great atmosphere and vibe in Leicester. Congratulations to DJ Jon 1st for winning the Leicester DMC and Runner up Dr Weevil. Well done to Loop Skywalker for third place and Chris Groove for 4th! The event was a World Champ fest! DJ Ligone / DJ Switch and Cutmaster Swift all under one roof, with a special jam from the champs. Rane and Serato present 'The DMC UK Championships 2011' - LETS GO!

That time of year is back again already. How quick a year goes by. The night before the DMC UK Championships start. The calm before the storm!

Its now 2011. I’ve grown up with DMC my entire life, those of you who know my background know that my uncle is Tony Prince (Founder of DMC) and I work alongside my mother (Managing Director), Christine Prince (My aunt and president of DMC), my sister and my three cousins. DMC is my blood!

This July I will have been working full time at DMC for 13 years (that doesn’t include my teenage and childhood days at DMC).... And here I am again, ready to go on the road to find the UK’s best DJs in the search for the DMC UK Champion.

 2011 is a special year for us. We launched the DMC Online DJ Championship back in Feb/March and we proud to have Rane and Serato as our official sponsors for the traditional live events. DJs this year, for the first time in the live DMC DJ Championship are allowed to use DVS like Serato. Its a big year for DMC and I’m really excited and ready to go!

Saturday 21st May and we are off to Leicester for the first regional heat. We have performances / showcases at all the UK Heats from the reigning DMC World Champion – DJ LIGONE from France, and our DMC host – Inja will be performing cuts from his latest album ‘Inja:Maker’. I’ve had a sneak preview of this album, and boyyyyy its a good one! DMC World Champion Cutmaster Swift will also be on tour doing a set and providing music for us throughout the events.

If you are in the midlands tomorrow night, make sure you get yourself down to Superfly in Leicester to get the DMC Heats started with a bang. This is Superfly’s closing down party, so its going to go on all night, and you might see a little showcase from a 3 x DMC World Supremacy Champion too!

Can we go on tour yet!!??? DMC Battle Season 2011!!

So its nearly that time of year again for me and the DMC touring team. 5 UK Regional heats this year and we start next weekend. The first heat is in the Midlands,  Leicester on Saturday 21st May.  I’m so happy to have Inja on tour with us again this year, he really has a fantastic stage presence and brings a  lot to our DMC stage. Inja will be performing tracks at every heat from his NEW album ‘Inja:Maker’, maybe I will put up a sneak preview on DMC TV of Inja’ new music. LOVING his remix of club banger ‘Hat Low’ featuring Skinnyman and Fallacy. The remix is Captain Crunch edit featuring Messiah. Check the video out below! 




As you know we showcase the best DJs in the world on our UK tour. We have so much fun on our UK tours, we do every year, I LOVE it!   Our stage has been blessed in recent years by greats such as C2C, DJ Netik, DJ Rafik, DJ Shiftee vs. DJ Switch, DJ Woody and many more. This year I am pleased to announce we have the reigning DMC World Champion from France – DJ LIGONE! Its going to be a great show this year!

So that is the showcasing side of the tour. The actual competition has changed this year for the first time in the 27 year history. DMC now allow Serato and DVS into the traditional 6 minutes competition. DMC are very happy we have Rane and Serato as the official sponsors of the DMC UK and World Championships.

The DJs from each of the 5 UK Heats win a Serato SL3 (Retails at £499) and Sennheiser headphones. Where are the UK DJS? I know they are entering the DMC Online Championship, but the American DJs are entering both! The live and the Online. The UK DJs should too! TWO chances to the titles! TWO chances to get to the World Final, and TWO chances to win prizes! COME ON UK DJS... Step up! 

THE DMC USA Final is shaping up very nicely I must say!. Congratulations and support to Christie Z as always on putting on a great US Battle Season. USA are set to have a fierce Final! (Saturday August 6th @ Santos Party House)

The US Winners so far are: DJ Q-Base  / DJ Immortal / DJ Concept / DJ Charlie Sheen (aka I-Dee) / DJ Shmeeze / DJ Vajra. WOW. Welcome back Vajra / I-Dee and Immortal and congratulations to all the DJs who have made it so far into the DMC US Finals this year!  I hope I get to go to the DMC US Finals this year. Our very own UK DJ Woody will be showcasing his incredible show 'Turntables In Technicolor'.

Happy Birthday to the Founder of DMC - Tony Prince!

So today is my uncle and the Founder of DMC – Tony Princes birthday! Happy Birthday Tony!
Most of you will know Tony from announcing the DMC winners on stage, from the Royal Albert Hall to Wembley to Brixton Academy,  and some of you may well remember Tony  from the Radio Luxembourg and Radio Caroline days! Happy 40th Tonnnnnnnnne!

This year is a very important year for us at DMC. We are very happy we have Rane and Serato as the official sponsors of the DMC World Championships. The DJs can use Serato and DVS in the traditional live events now, so this is very exciting!!
We have DMC Radio and DMC Magazine bubbling away getting ready to launch, as well as DMC Download!

DMC UK Battle Season 2011!! LETS GO!

DMC DJ Battle season is here!

The DMC World DJ Championships is the longest running DJ competition in the world, and the most sought after title of the DJ world.

The search for the UK’s best DJ begins in May 2011! Rane and Serato present the DMC UK DJ Championships 2011. The UK tour will showcase the DMC World Champion – DJ Ligone from France, he will be showcasing and judging at all regional's. DMC’s host INJA will also be performing debut cuts from his long awaited solo album ‘Inja:Maker’. DMC World Champion 89 – Cutmaster Swift will also be spinning. The DMC UK regional's hit Leicester, Blackpool, London, Bournemouth and Plymouth.

The DMC UK Final is Thursday 14th July @ London’s Scala. The winner from the UK Final will go through to the DMC World Final which will be held on 6th and 7th October @ Indig02, 02 Arena.
