The first ever DJ to perform at THE PROMS!

Sooooo pleased to announce our very own 3 x DMC WORLD CHAMPION - DJ SWITCH from the UK, will be the first EVER DJ to perform at the Proms. The Proms is an annual TV season of the world greatest orchestras / composers and orchestral conductors. This is HUGE.
The proms will be held at The Royal Albert Hall, the original home for the DMC World Championships! The last time DMC was at The Royal Albert Hall was when we had James Brown on stage!

Congratulations Switch, so pleased for you. I've known about this for a while, but was not allowed to mention this until the BBC made their announcement... and here it is...  'Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra - August 6th" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/culturenews/8451631/BBC-Proms-2011-the-highlights.html

  4. Sir Hubert Parry was in deed born in Bournemouth, the youngest of six children and wrote the music for Jerusalem in 1916.
The now famous lyrics..."And did those feet in ancient time" came from a short poem by William Blake from the preface to his epic 'Milton a Poem' (c. 1808).
But I believe DJ Switch is a Midlands boy, from the Birmingham area, and as around 22 years old! (Not sure of the date).
